More than 600 orchid works gathered at the national orchid contest

On November 12, in Vinh Long , the Vietnam Orchid Production and Trading Association in collaboration with the Vinh Long Provincial Ornamental Plants Association opened the 2023 national orchid exhibition contest with the theme Connecting passion .

Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee, awarded scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

The contest gathered more than 600 works by 500 artisans from 52 orchid clubs across the country.

Many people come to admire the beauty of the orchid pots.

According to the Organizing Committee, this contest gathered many beautiful and unique orchid works, converging many values, meanings and outstanding techniques of the artisans, such as: Cattleya xo, Cattleya tem, Cattleya mini, Dendrobium orchid, Dendrobium cap orchid, slipper orchid, wild orchid, mixed orchid, leaf orchid...

The contest aims to create conditions for orchid lovers from all regions of the country to exchange and learn experiences in production, business and care. At the same time, it honors new and beautiful works created by the skillful and talented hands of artisans for the public to enjoy.

The contest also shows the spiritual beauty, solidarity, attachment, sharing, and mutual support of orchid lovers in all regions of the country. From there, it creates opportunities for orchid lovers to develop together, bringing joy to everyone.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the contest awarded 70 scholarships to students in difficult circumstances in Vinh Long City.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee will score and award 100 prizes to the 100 best works, including: 1 special prize, 1 first prize, 18 second prizes, 27 third prizes and 45 consolation prizes.
