On the afternoon of December 29, the Ha Tinh Provincial Statistics Office held a press conference to announce socio -economic statistics for the whole province in 2023.
According to the Ha Tinh Provincial Statistics Office, in 2023, business operations of enterprises will face many difficulties. In addition to favorable factors, in 2023, more than 800 enterprises will temporarily suspend operations or dissolve.
Over the past year, Ha Tinh had more than 1,000 newly established enterprises, down 14.8% compared to 2022. Total registered capital reached more than VND 5,600 billion, down 44.68%. Average capital per enterprise reached VND 4.71 billion, down more than 35% compared to last year.
In 2023, 372 enterprises and affiliated units will resume operations, down 5.8%.
Also according to the Ha Tinh Provincial Statistics Office, out of more than 800 enterprises that stopped operating or dissolved, 578 enterprises and affiliated units stopped operating (an increase of nearly 20%); 247 enterprises and affiliated units dissolved (an increase of more than 22.2%).
According to businesses, the biggest difficulties at present are still declining market demand and high production costs. The number of businesses temporarily suspending and withdrawing from the market increased by 21.61% compared to 2022.
However, a positive signal came in the fourth quarter of 2023, when many businesses in the area increased recruitment, but still did not have enough workers.
The reason given is that the working regime and policies of enterprises in Ha Tinh are still not strong enough to attract and retain workers. The regional salary in the area is quite low, so workers tend to go to enterprises in other provinces to look for job opportunities. Therefore, the labor and employment situation in Ha Tinh tends to decrease compared to the same period last year.
