Meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of My Long Border Guard Station's traditional day

On the afternoon of July 18, My Long Border Guard Station held a meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the unit's traditional day (July 18, 1975 - July 18, 2025).

Attending the meeting were Colonel Nguyen Hong Luong - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Truyen - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Chinh - Deputy Commander of the Defense Command of Region I, Nguyet Hoa; leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of My Long commune.

Over 50 years of building, fighting and growing, many generations of officers and soldiers of My Long Border Guard Station have always been steadfast in their political and ideological stance, organized and built increasingly strong forces, carried out training well, were ready to fight and fought effectively. Thereby, they have established many glorious feats and achievements, recognized by the Party, State and People and awarded many noble prizes.

In the past time, My Long Border Guard Station has organized nearly 3,520 patrols on land and at sea with the participation of nearly 14,900 officers and soldiers. Thereby, hundreds of administrative violations were detected and handled, with a fine of billions of VND.

Officers and soldiers of My Long Border Guard Station have participated in consolidating hundreds of self-management groups, branches, and mass organizations, 15 hamlet and residential party cells, maintaining 100% of hamlets and residential areas in the area safe in terms of security and order. They have performed well in search and rescue, protecting the lives and property of the people. In addition, My Long Border Guard Station has also performed well in mass mobilization and social security work.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Hong Luong - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command emphasized that over the past time, officers and soldiers of My Long Border Guard Station have been absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and the People, overcoming all difficulties and hardships, determined to firmly protect the territorial sovereignty and national border security, successfully completing assigned tasks.

Colonel Nguyen Hong Luong suggested that in the coming time, officers and soldiers of My Long Border Guard Station need to focus on promoting the glorious tradition of the Border Guard force in general and the unit's tradition in particular, building a strong border guard station in all aspects, especially in politics, ideology, organization and staff, capable of completing tasks well in the new situation.

Constantly strive, study and practice, improve the quality of combat training, command and coordination skills, have the capacity to manage, skillfully use weapons, equipment, technical means, and combat services. Improve the quality and effectiveness of mass mobilization work in the new situation, participate in economic , cultural, and social development in the locality, actively participate in building new rural areas, contribute to stabilizing the political security situation, order, and social safety in the area under your responsibility.
