Meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation

DTO - On the afternoon of January 17, at Dong Thap Community College, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Dong Thap province to organize a meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation (January 30, 1950 - January 30, 2025). Mr. Sadykov Timur Sirozhevich - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Phan Huu Phuoc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Chairman of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of the province; Mr. Vo Ngoc Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province attended.

In the warm atmosphere of the meeting, Mr. Le Xuan Hai - Chairman of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations spoke to review the friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. 75 years ago, on January 30, 1950, the Soviet Union was one of the first countries in the world to recognize and officially establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam. During the years of the struggle for national independence, the Soviet Union was a loyal and devoted friend, helping Vietnam in all aspects. The Vietnam - Russian Federation relationship today inherits the special friendship between Vietnam and the Soviet Union, is a priceless asset, a solid foundation for the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation in the current period.

In Dong Thap province, the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Association was established on November 1, 1983 and is currently the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association. In recent years, the province has welcomed a number of Russian enterprises to survey and seek cooperation and investment opportunities. The Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of the province has coordinated to organize many friendly exchange and people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.

2025 marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
