Economic and trade cooperation is always an area of great interest to the leaders of Vietnam and Iran.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly will always support and accompany the Government to promote in-depth Vietnam-Iran economic cooperation, for the benefit of the people of the two countries and the development of the two regions.

On the afternoon of August 8, within the framework of his official visit to Iran, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Abbas Aliabadi.

At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated Mr. Abbas Aliabadi on his new appointment as Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran in June this year; thanked the contributions of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran as well as Minister Abbas Aliabadi personally, in his capacity as Chairman of the Iranian branch of the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee for trade cooperation in particular and cooperation between the two countries in general.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that economic and trade cooperation is an area that leaders of the two countries always pay great attention to.

Minister Abbas Aliabadi warmly welcomed National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on his official visit to Iran, expressing his joy at the recent signing of a cooperation agreement between the two countries' parliaments.

It is expected that during the visit, the two sides will sign a number of important cooperation documents in the fields of trade promotion, agriculture, justice, etc. The signing of these cooperation documents will create a basis to further promote economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Iran.

Minister Abbas Aliabadi also informed about some results achieved from the 9th meeting of the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee and hoped that the two sides would soon implement the 10th meeting.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stressed that the two sides need to maximize cooperation potential, promote the effectiveness of commitments, and create favorable conditions for business operations. The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the Vietnamese National Assembly will always support and accompany the government to promote in-depth Vietnam-Iran economic cooperation, for the benefit of the people of the two countries and the development of the two regions.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed directions to promote cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, tourism, education, etc.

The two sides agreed to increase professional-level working sessions to seek appropriate and effective cooperation mechanisms between the two countries, especially mechanisms connecting businesses with businesses and localities with localities.

The Governments and National Assemblies of the two countries focus on creating a legal corridor and a favorable environment for businesses and localities to enhance cooperation. At the same time, the two sides can act as a bridge for each other to penetrate regional markets.
