Hung Yen: Hong Quang Commune Women's Union grants sponsorship to 64 orphans before the new school year

On the afternoon of August 29, the Women's Union of Hong Quang commune, Hung Yen province organized the Godmother Program and presented funds to support 64 orphans in difficult circumstances in the commune.

The "Godmother" program was implemented by the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Hung Yen province since the beginning of 2022, becoming a bright spot in social security work, caring for orphans in especially difficult circumstances, with the desire to share love, connect kind hearts and bring joy to the children.

With the spirit of sharing and responsibility, the Standing Committee of the Women's Union of Hong Quang commune has actively advised and received special attention, direction, and facilitation from the leaders of the Party Committee and the commune government, and unanimous support from departments, branches, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the commune.

At the Program, 64 orphans in difficult circumstances were given sponsorship funds by the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, departments, agencies, unions of the commune, organizations, individuals, and benefactors inside and outside the commune, with an amount of 500,000 VND/child/month.

In particular, 3 members of the Party Committee of the commune directly sponsored 3 orphans; groups and individuals inside and outside the commune sponsored 61 children. This is not only a source of material support, but also a great spiritual gift on the occasion of preparing to enter the new school year, adding motivation for the children to firmly step on the journey of overcoming difficulties and rising up in life.

This is a deeply humane activity, clearly demonstrating the core role of the Women's Union in caring for and protecting children - especially orphans and children in difficult circumstances. The support of organizations, individuals and businesses is a valuable resource to spread the spirit of mutual love in the community.
