This morning (October 20), at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Cho Quan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Ho Chi Minh City Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and many related units to organize the launching ceremony of the campaign "Not alone - Together online safety", connecting to 931 points at junior high schools, high schools, colleges and vocational schools in the area.

The campaign was launched nationwide, initiated by the Digital Trust Alliance, under the auspices of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health, and in coordination with many agencies, organizations and technology enterprises such as TikTok, Meta, Google, the National Cyber ​​Security Association and child rights protection organizations.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the campaign was launched to raise awareness among children, teenagers, teachers and parents about the risks, tricks of seduction, manipulation, fraud, and "online kidnapping" in cyberspace; equip them with skills to identify, prevent and handle dangerous situations; and spread the message "Together we are safe online" so that each child understands that they are not alone in facing virtual risks with real consequences.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Police emphasized: "Protecting children in the online environment is not only the responsibility of the authorities but also the common responsibility of the whole society - of families, schools and every internet citizen."

The launching program opens a series of diverse communication and educational activities: photo exhibitions, propaganda videos; discussions and exchanges with speakers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) on the topic of protecting children online; question and answer games about "online kidnapping" situations for students to practice safe response skills.

The event is also a practical activity in response to the Hanoi Convention - the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, expected to be signed in Hanoi on October 25-26, demonstrating Vietnam's commitment and position in efforts to protect vulnerable groups, especially children and adolescents in cyberspace.

The “Not Alone - Together for Online Safety” campaign sends a strong message: every child has the right to be safe, heard and protected both in the real world and in the digital space.
