As VietNamNet reported, recently, a clip recording a scene where a male student was surrounded by a group of friends, continuously scolded, forced to kneel down and crawl and apologize, was shared widely on social networks. Not stopping there, the male student was also forced to crawl behind a group member's car and lick the license plate. When the victim seemed hesitant, another young man kicked him in the face. Finally, the male student had to do as the group asked - lick the license plate, but then continued to be beaten in the face.

The clip, after being shared, attracted the attention of the online community. Many people expressed outrage at the behavior of this group of young people.

The male student who was beaten, forced to kneel, crawl and lick the license plate is said to be a 10th grade student at Minh Phu High School, Hanoi. The incident is believed to have occurred in Soc Son commune, Hanoi.

Speaking with VietNamNet on October 20, Ms. Tran Thi Luc, Principal of Minh Phu High School, confirmed the incident that happened to her school's 10th grade students on October 15.

“Immediately after receiving information on social media on October 17, the school reported to Soc Son Commune Police and the police worked with the family that same evening. The incident was determined to have taken place on October 15, involving 6 students. Among the group of young men surrounding the male student, some of them had played with the male student since middle school,” said Ms. Luc.

According to the verification results, the victim is N.D.H, a 10th grade student at Minh Phu High School. The remaining 6 people in the clip were born between 2007 and 2010, all in Soc Son commune, including 2 10th grade students at Soc Son Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.

Ms. Luc said that the initial cause was determined to be a conflict stemming from a few back-and-forth, challenging words. “The incident was discovered online, but the student did not tell his parents, teachers, or school to get help, support, or handle the situation. In fact, the next morning, October 16, the male student still went to school as usual,” Ms. Luc said.

The incident is being verified and clarified by Soc Son Commune Police for resolution.
