Two teachers in Ho Chi Minh City honored as "Digital Educators" in Asia

(NLDO) - Two typical representatives of Vietnam are teachers teaching the international IT program ICDL Digital Student according to Project 762 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

News from the Asia Digital Capacity Forum 2025, the Vietnamese delegation received many special awards.

Among them, 2 typical representatives of Vietnam are teachers teaching the international IT program ICDL Digital Student according to Project 762 of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, honored with the ICDL Digital Educator Award.

The two teachers receiving the award this year include Ms. Cao Nguyen Thao Nguyen - Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School (Sai ​​Gon Ward - Ho Chi Minh City) and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hau - Hoa Lu Secondary School, Ho Chi Minh City).

ICDL Digital Educator Award is an award to encourage and empower teachers and lecturers with the capacity to effectively apply information and communication technology (ICT) in teaching.

This initiative aims to enhance digital capacity and ICT application ability of teachers, helping them to effectively use digital tools to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

At the forum, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hau presented a paper on the success of the ICDL Digital Student international IT program, when implemented in schools in Vietnam, along with positive changes in the application of IT in the teaching process to improve the learning experience and quality of education.

The Vietnamese delegation was honored for the award categories.

Project 762 "Improving capacity, knowledge, and skills in applying information technology for high school students in Ho Chi Minh City according to international standards, period 2021-2030" of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is a project aimed at helping students have the opportunity to access a prestigious academic program and possess the ICDL international Information Technology certificate, this certificate is recognized globally.

The ICDL Asia Digital Literacy 2025 Forum, held this year in Jiangsu Province, China, is an annual event to promote awareness of digital skills, and to create a forum where education managers, IT experts and training units share applications of digital skills and digital education in the Asia region, as well as discuss new trends in the global IT industry.

Also at the forum, EMG Education (the unit implementing the integrated English program under project 5695 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee) was also the representative of Vietnam to receive the ICDL Premier Partner award for the second consecutive time.
