Male student kicked in the face by a group of friends, forced to crawl around a motorbike: Principal informed

After the clip of a male student being abused by a group of friends went viral, the Principal of Minh Phu High School confirmed that the victim was a 10th grade student at the school and the case is being handled.

On the evening of October 20, Ms. Tran Thi Luc, Principal of Minh Phu High School (Soc Son Commune, Hanoi) confirmed that the male student appearing in the video being abused by a group of friends is a 10th grade student at the school.

According to Ms. Luc, the incident happened on October 15, but the male student did not tell his family or homeroom teacher, and still went to class as usual the next day. It was not until October 17, when a former student discovered an image of the uniform with the school logo appearing in a clip circulating on social media, that the Board of Directors received the information.

Immediately after that, the school verified the identities of the students involved, reported to Soc Son Commune Police and coordinated the handling. That same evening, the Commune Police and the Board of Directors came to work with the victim's family and activated the school psychological counseling team to support the student in stabilizing his mental health.

Previously, a video circulated on social media showing a male student being surrounded by a group of friends, yelled at, and forced to kneel. One of the group even forced the victim to crawl behind a motorbike and lick the license plate. When the male student hesitated, the person kicked him in the face. Finally, the male student complied with the group's request, but continued to be beaten.

The victim in the clip was identified as N.D.H - a 10th grade student at Minh Phu High School.

Through the investigation, Soc Son Commune Police identified the group involved in the incident as 6 teenagers, born between 2007 and 2010, all residing in Soc Son Commune. Of these, 4 have dropped out of school and are currently working as freelance workers, while 2 are studying at the Soc Son Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center.

This group used to study in the same middle school as the victim. Due to personal conflicts, they had inappropriate behavior and violated school rules of conduct.

On the evening of October 20, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training sent a document to the People's Committee of Soc Son Commune, the People's Committee of Kim Anh Commune, Minh Phu High School, and the Soc Son Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education to strictly handle violations and school violence (if any) and report the results to the Department.
