According to the report of the People's Committee of Bac Son district, in the first quarter of 2025, the People's Committee of Bac Son district seriously organized and effectively implemented the directives of the central government and the province on organizing the implementation of key tasks of socio-economic development and the state budget estimate for 2025. At the same time, it focused on directing the implementation of the economic growth scenario for 2025 in Bac Son district. Thereby, in the first quarter of 2025, a number of socio-economic development targets of Bac Son district achieved and exceeded the set plan.
In the first quarter of 2025, agricultural and forestry production basically met the set plan; the value of industrial and handicraft production in Bac Son district reached about 42 billion VND; trade and service activities were stable. The total retail turnover was about 305 billion VND; disbursement of public investment capital reached 7.33% of the plan assigned by the province; state budget revenue in the area was more than 16 billion VND, reaching 34.8% of the estimate assigned by the province; the socio-cultural sector had many positive changes; social security was ensured; medical examination and treatment and health care for the people were given attention; food hygiene and safety were well maintained; political security and social order and safety were basically stable.
Regarding the implementation of the 3 national target programs (NTPs), since the beginning of 2025, Bac Son district has focused on directing units and communes to review and register capital resources to implement the NTP on new rural construction. From there, in the first quarter, the district has allocated capital to communes to implement the NTP on new rural construction and advanced new rural construction.
Regarding the National Target Program for Ethnic Minority Areas, the People's Committee of Bac Son district has continued to arrange and mobilize resources to implement project programs in extremely disadvantaged communes, focusing on prioritizing implementation in Nhat Hoa commune, which is striving to meet new rural standards by 2025.
Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the People's Committee of Bac Son district continues to implement poverty reduction work in 2025 focusing on communes with high poverty rates such as Tan Tri, Van Thuy, Tran Yen, and Nhat Hoa.
Regarding the implementation of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and develop housing in Bac Son district, the District People's Committee has directed relevant agencies and units to organize financial support for building new houses and repairing houses for households that are beneficiaries. Accordingly, up to now, 25 new houses have been built (100% of the plan); 290/322 houses have been repaired.
Implementing the economic growth scenario in 2025 in Bac Son district, from the beginning of 2025, the District People's Committee has focused on directing specialized agencies, People's Committees of communes and towns of the district to seriously implement the economic growth scenario in 2025.
Regarding the implementation of collecting voters' opinions in the district on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Bac Son district has so far completed the implementation of collecting voters' opinions. Currently, the District People's Committee has developed a Project on arranging local governments at 2 levels in the area, submitted to the District People's Council for approval and sent to the Provincial People's Committee.
During the inspection program, the leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Nhat Hoa commune (Bac Son district) also quickly reported on the implementation of the socio-economic development plan; the implementation of the commune's economic growth plan for 2025; as well as the implementation of the new rural construction program and the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses... in the commune.
Speaking at the conclusion of the inspection, Comrade Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of Bac Son district in implementing the tasks assigned by the province in the first quarter.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committee of Bac Son district to continue reviewing the targets set at the beginning of the year to focus on leadership and direction of implementation to concretize the district's economic growth scenario in 2025; continue to focus on accurately reviewing the subjects, speeding up the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; focus on speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital; continue to pay attention to site clearance work to serve projects in the area; well organize the implementation of national target programs in the district.
The People's Committee of Bac Son district continues to study the restructuring of the district's agricultural sector towards focusing on developing the district's key agricultural and forestry products; continues to review projects and works in the area to focus on directing and accelerating the implementation progress; continues to pay attention to implementing the fields of health, education, culture, science and technology in the district; focuses on effectively implementing administrative reforms and improving the district's investment and business environment.
