Long Dat district focuses on preserving cultural heritage

Inspection team conducts field survey of Minh Dam historical relic.

At the meeting, a representative of the district's Department of Culture, Science and Information said that the district has 58 historical, cultural and scenic sites whose inventory has been announced. Of these, 14 sites have been ranked (including 4 national sites and 10 provincial sites). Every year, historical and cultural sites in the district welcome nearly 1 million visitors to make pilgrimages and pay their respects...

Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, highly appreciated Long Dat district in the management of cultural heritage, restoration and conservation of relics in the area. At the same time, he recommended that the district should improve the professional skills of tour guides; strengthen inspection and promote the value of relics in the area.

During the working program, the delegation conducted a field survey at Phuoc Tho Communal House (Dat Do Town), Minh Dam historical site; Traditional fishing house in Phuoc Hai Town in the Whale cemetery and Ong Nam Hai Temple in Phuoc Hai Town.
