Viettel leads in mobile broadband and 5G network speed in April 2025.

According to data released by the i-Speed ​​platform of the Vietnam Internet Center, in April 2025, the mobile broadband network speed of telecommunications service providers in Vietnam was improved simultaneously. Of which, the network with the best mobile network quality was Viettel with a download speed of 88.97 Mbps and an upload speed of 27.98 Mbps.

5G network quality also made a leap forward in April, with the average nationwide download speed reaching 354.88 Mbps, while the upload speed reached 94.92 Mbps. Viettel is also the leading service provider in 5G network speed with an average download speed in April 2025 reaching 364.43 Mbps; upload speed 97.6 Mbps, contributing to improving user experience and promoting digital transformation in Vietnam.

In terms of geographical area, Da Nang city continues to maintain its leading position in 5G network quality with an impressive average speed of 393.84 Mbps, followed by Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and Hai Phong, affirming the strong development momentum of 5G in major cities.

Resolution 57 of the Politburo sets the goal that by 2030, Vietnam will have advanced, modern digital technology infrastructure, super-large capacity, super-wide bandwidth on par with advanced countries, and a 5G mobile broadband network covering the whole country. To date, most network operators have officially deployed 5G to realize nationwide 5G coverage. The strong increase in the number of users also raises the prospect of explosive development of 5G in Vietnam.
