The live show “U Va Legend” introduces legends, history, and unique folk dances and folk culture of the Thai ethnic group. The show lasts nearly 40 minutes and is performed in traditional stilt houses and familiar everyday objects of the Thai ethnic group.
“The Legend of U Va” takes place in 3 main chapters: Chapter I - Ancient marks of the Thai people (the legend of the mother gourd); Chapter II - The legend of the Piêu scarf and the Ban flower tree; Chapter III - The Xen Pang Festival, the humanistic, ancient beauty, the pride of the Thai people and the connection between the present and the past. In each chapter, the traditional culture of the Thai people is clearly depicted and expressed, such as the Khuong han ceremony, the wedding ceremony, the Tang Cau custom...
The live show “The Legend of U Va” will be performed at 8 p.m. on April 30, May 1, 2, 3 and May 7 at the U Va village cultural house, Noong Luong commune, Dien Bien district. Previously, the show was held during the Ban Flower Festival and the opening of the National Tourism Year - Dien Bien 2024, receiving enthusiastic support from locals and tourists.
