Only about 18km from the center of Pleiku City and 20km from the center of Dak Doa district, Ia Bang Lake is not only an attractive eco- tourism destination, but also a place that preserves ancient volcanic vestiges, nestled in the middle of a cool green pine valley all year round.
These days, the Ia Bang Lake eco-tourism destination is attracting more and more visitors from near and far because of the blooming pink lotus lake.

Exactly 1 year ago, on Uncle Ho's birthday, Mr. Siu Mun (O Ngo village, Ia Bang commune) released the first lotus sprouts into the 3-sao wide lake.
As if to repay the care of humans, the lotus gives its first season of flowers with brilliant colors and fragrance. The lotus flowers bloom, spreading their fragrance, attracting many visitors.
“This is a Thai lotus variety, grown only for viewing the flowers and not for harvesting seeds like traditional lotus varieties. In return, the flowers last a long time and have a very fresh pink color. I grow them to add to the beauty of Ia Bang Lake and serve tourists completely free of charge,” Mun shared.

During the lotus blooming season, Ia Bang Lake welcomes an average of 100 to 200 visitors per day, especially on weekends. “I hope the lotus lake will contribute to beautifying the beauty of Ia Bang Lake, making this eco-tourism destination more and more attractive to visitors from inside and outside the province,” said Mr. Mun.

Not only lotus flowers, visitors to Ia Bang Lake can also experience relaxing services such as fishing, resting in small huts by the lake and enjoying specialties with the bold flavors of the Central Highlands prepared by local people.

The fresh, quiet natural scenery combined with the cool water of the lake and the faint scent of lotus in the wind make this place an ideal stop to "escape the heat" in the summer.
