According to GSMArena , the most attractive new feature in iOS 17 is the ability to turn the iPhone into a smart display-like device when locked. Specifically, it will display calendar appointments, weather information and notifications in a new style reminiscent of a standalone smart display.

This view will reportedly only appear when the iPhone is in landscape orientation, making the handset more useful when it's on a user's desk or nightstand. There will be a dark background with light text for easy reading when the feature is enabled.
Apple is also said to be working on a new landscape interface for the iPad, though it's unclear when that will be rolled out, as the company has been slow to bring new iPhone features to tablets. Speaking of tablets, Apple is also reportedly working on a low-cost tablet that can magnetically attach to walls and stands, though that's said to be a slow process.
The Wallet app is also getting some significant changes in iOS 17, bringing improvements to location services and a new journaling app that's designed to "add a more robust note-taking and social element to the device." Analysts expect Apple to give users the ability to log moods and deal with poor eyesight, as well as the Health app making the jump to iPadOS. Finally, AirPlay and SharePlay could see feature upgrades and more widespread adoption.
