iOS 17 could turn your iPhone into a smart display

According to GSMArena , the most attractive new feature in iOS 17 is the ability to turn the iPhone into a smart display-like device when locked. Specifically, it will display calendar appointments, weather information and notifications in a new style reminiscent of a standalone smart display.

Analysts expect Apple to give users the ability to log moods and deal with poor eyesight, as well as the Health app making the jump to iPadOS.
