Official information about the suspected clip of traffic police carrying a sleeping candidate is staged

On June 26, a clip was posted on social media about a traffic police car taking a candidate who fell asleep to the exam site in Co To island district ( Quang Ninh ). However, because the clip was perfectly post-processed, with enough camera angles following the traffic police car, many opinions on social media said it was staged and scripted.

After verification, the leaders of the District Party Committee and the People's Committee of Co To District confirmed that the above incident was true, however, the professional post-processing made it easy for viewers to misunderstand. Specifically, the incident occurred on the morning of June 26 during the Literature exam.

At the Co To district exam site, after the roll call at the beginning of the hour, the teacher noticed that one candidate was missing. Although he tried to contact the candidate but was unsuccessful, he ran out of the gate and asked the Traffic Police on duty outside to come to the dormitory to pick up the candidate to take the exam on time.

The candidate named NVAT is a high school continuingeducation student. NVAT's parents are both fishermen. Because his house is in Thanh Lan island commune, T. had to move to Co To town to rent a room, work part-time, study and take the high school graduation exam. This candidate often works part-time at a restaurant at night. Before the graduation exam, NVAT still worked at night, so he woke up late in the morning.

The person who recorded the entire incident was an employee of the local Media and Culture Center. This employee was working on the exam at the school gate when the teacher announced and asked the Traffic Police to pick up the oversleeping candidate.

This employee asked another youth union officer to ride a motorbike after the traffic police car to record the incident. The entire incident was filmed honestly, without staging. However, due to the professional post-production of the video, viewers were misled.

Co To district has a high school graduation exam site, so students from neighboring islands must stay in the district center during the exam. On June 25, Co To district leaders visited, encouraged, and presented gifts of exam supplies at this exam site, instructing candidates to take the exam on time and follow the exam regulations.

According to the Examination Council of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ninh province, the whole province has 19,930 candidates registered for the high school graduation exam. In the morning, the Literature exam had 19,771 candidates taking the exam, reaching 99.2%; the number of absent candidates was 159 candidates including: 62 candidates exempted from the exam, 57 candidates were sick, and 40 candidates dropped out. In the afternoon, the Math exam had 17,773 candidates taking the exam, reaching 99.21%; the number of absent candidates was 157 candidates including: 59 candidates exempted from the exam, 57 candidates were sick, and 41 candidates dropped out.

At the end of the first day of the exam, the whole province had no candidates violating the exam regulations. The exam invigilation work of the Examination Council was organized seriously, safely, and in accordance with regulations./.
