At least 13 people, including women and children, were killed in two airstrikes on two homes in Nuseirat, one of eight long-standing refugee camps in the enclave, a Palestinian health ministry official said.
The Israeli military has not yet commented on the airstrike.
Another airstrike on a school in the Tuffah area of Gaza City where Palestinian families were taking shelter killed at least seven people.
In a statement, the Israeli military said the attack was carried out against Hamas militants operating in an operations center integrated into an area that was formerly the Al-Shejaia School.
The force accused Hamas of using civilians and civilian facilities for military purposes, an allegation Hamas has denied.
Late Tuesday, two Israeli airstrikes killed five Palestinians in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and in the Gaza City suburb of Zeitoun.
In Khan Younis, south of the enclave, medical workers said six Palestinians were killed in an Israeli air strike on a tent sheltering many evacuees.
Hours later, Israel carried out an airstrike on a car in Khan Younis, killing six Palestinians. Videos of the airstrike were circulated on social media.

The armed wings of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other small militias issued separate statements saying they had fought Israeli forces in multiple areas across Gaza with anti-tank missiles, mortars and explosive devices.
Tensions in the region
Israel's campaign against Lebanon represents an escalation of the Middle East conflict between Israel and Iran-backed militias, leading to concerns that the US and Iran could be drawn into war.
Hezbollah began firing rockets at Israel nearly a year ago in support of its ally Hamas in the Gaza war, which was sparked after Hamas carried out the deadliest attack in Israeli history on October 7, 2023.
The attack killed about 1,200 people and took 250 hostages, sparking a war that has devastated Gaza to this day, forcing nearly its entire population of 2.3 million to flee and killing more than 41,600 Palestinians.
Some Palestinians say they fear Israel's focus on Lebanon could prolong the conflict in Gaza.
"The eyes of the international community are on Lebanon while the occupation continues to bombard Gaza. We fear that the war could continue for at least many more months," said Samir Mohammed, 46, a father of five from Gaza City.
"The situation will be unpredictable when Israel can attack without hesitation in Gaza, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, and God knows where else in the future."
