Conclusion of inspection of national defense and military work of Lai Chau province in 2025

Major General Nguyen Chi Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Militia and Self-Defense Forces/General Staff chaired the conference.

The report at the Conference showed that in 2025, Lai Chau province has carried out many key tasks related to national defense and military work such as: Organizing a drill for the Border Guard Command, perfecting the organization of local governments at two levels, reviewing and adjusting strategic plans associated with the construction of defense zones. Awareness of local Party committees, authorities and people about national defense and military work has been raised. Military agencies at all levels have promoted their role and responsibility in advising on the implementation of national defense and military work; the provincial armed forces have been built comprehensively and strictly maintained the combat readiness regime. The potential and posture in the defense zone have received investment attention; linking the construction of all-people national defense with the people's security posture.

Lai Chau province has done well in national defense work with economic and social development, civil defense work; defense diplomacy. He affirmed that this is the special attention of the Ministry of National Defense to Lai Chau province in particular and the border provinces in general; at the same time, it is an opportunity for the Province to objectively and comprehensively assess the results of the implementation of defense and military tasks, especially in the first year of implementing the 2-level local government model.

Along with that, constantly improve the quality of armed force building, especially building a "strong, widespread" militia and self-defense force with appropriate proportions and constantly improving political quality.
