A fierce match between female Jiujitsu athletes.
The tournament brings together more than 350 coaches and athletes from 26 clubs in many provinces and cities nationwide, competing for 70 sets of medals.
According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City Truong Cong Quoc Viet, the tournament helps evaluate the training, leadership, organization and competition management of officials, referees and coaches. At the same time, it selects the athletes with the best achievements, preparing forces for the 2024 International Jujitsu Tournament and the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026.
With that important meaning, the Organizing Committee requires that athletes participate in the competition with the sports spirit of "Unity, honesty, nobility", showing the determination to bring the best results to the unit. The referee team works focused, manages fairly and accurately to reflect the professional level of the athletes.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Permanent Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Jujitsu Federation, said that the last Jujitsu Tournament was held in November 2023. There has been no other tournament for about 5 months, so the athletes are very excited and have prepared quite carefully. Accordingly, the Tournament in Can Tho is meant to open a series of Jujitsu Tournaments held in 2024.
The Federation hopes that this Tournament will help find new factors, select quality athletes with good form to supplement and contribute to the national team.
