Opening of the 25th Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference (expanded)

On the morning of July 1, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held the 25th Provincial Party Executive Committee Conference (expanded) to review and give opinions on many important contents.

Attending the conference were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi; Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Huynh Thi Chien Hoa; Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Y Giang Gry Nie Knong; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and representatives of relevant departments and branches in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi emphasized that 2024 is a year of special importance, creating a breakthrough momentum to successfully carry out the tasks of the entire term according to the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

To ensure the successful completion of the goals and tasks of 2024, comrade Pham Ngoc Nghi requested the delegates attending the meeting to uphold the spirit of responsibility, promote democracy, frankly and objectively discuss and give opinions on the contents and issues raised in the draft documents and reports, and at the same time, discuss and propose effective tasks and solutions suitable to the practical situation of the locality.

At the conference, delegates spent a lot of time reviewing and giving opinions on the draft Report on the situation and results of implementing socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security, Party building, and the political system in the first 6 months of 2024 and key tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.

Accordingly, 2024 is an important year with many major events, especially the 120th anniversary of the founding of Dak Lak province. Therefore, from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Executive Committee have focused on leading and directing all levels and sectors to effectively implement the set tasks and plans.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the province's socio -economic situation continued to develop, with most indicators showing good growth. Compared to the same period in 2023, the total product value in the area (2010 comparative price) is estimated at 25,493 billion VND, up 4.13%; mobilized social investment capital is estimated at more than 15,683 billion VND, up 3.62%; total retail sales of goods and services are estimated at over 53,458 billion VND, up 8.8%; total state budget revenue in the area is estimated at 4,257 billion VND, up 8.8%; export turnover is estimated at 920 million USD, up 17.4%; import turnover is estimated at 210 million USD; Winter-Spring crop cultivation in 2023-2024 exceeded the set plan by 20%; Tourism activities grew quite well, total revenue from tourism is estimated at 646 billion VND, up 13.53%...

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Ha informed about the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and the direction of tasks for the last 6 months of 2024.

Cultural, sports, employment, social security, and poverty reduction activities continue to receive attention, ensuring people's lives. Land, mineral, and environmental resource management is focused on. Administrative reform has many positive changes. National defense is strengthened, sovereignty, territory, and border security are maintained.

The work of Party building and political system building continues to be focused on, ensuring the requirements in the new situation; the whole province has admitted 1,096 new Party members, bringing the total number of Party members in the entire Provincial Party Committee to 88,205 comrades. The activities of the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations are increasingly changing positively...

In addition to the achieved results, the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of 2024 still encountered some difficulties such as: the total value of industrial and service products is still lower than the growth scenario set by the province; production and business activities of enterprises still face many difficulties, the number of dissolved and suspended enterprises increased compared to the same period in 2023; land use fee collection is low, affecting the total state budget revenue and the implementation of investment projects using the provincial budget; the situation of prolonged and over-level petitions still occurs, there is still a potential risk of "hot spots" in security and order; the number of illegal deforestation, exploitation and transportation of forest products is still increasing; the rate of party member development in some village, hamlet and residential group Party cells is still low; the progress of concluding political standards is still slow; grasping the thoughts and aspirations of the people is sometimes not timely and not thorough...
