Opening of the 15th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of April 15, at the City Convention Center, the City People's Council held the 15th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 to review and decide on a number of contents under its authority. This is the 2nd special session held in 2024 to promptly deploy important and urgent tasks of the city.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Do Manh Hien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Pham Van Lap, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council; Cao Xuan Lien, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; leaders of the City People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, National Assembly deputies, City People's Council deputies and leaders of Departments, branches and localities.
Speaking at the opening of the Session, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap said that at the Session, the City People's Council will consider and resolve 3 contents: Approval of the Master Plan for the new urban area of Thuy Nguyen, Hai Phong city until 2045 as a basis for submission to the Prime Minister for approval; this is a very important Project; the Master Plan for the new urban area of Thuy Nguyen is a prerequisite for completing the dossier of the Project to establish a city under Hai Phong city in Thuy Nguyen district. Approval of the Resolution on Issuance of Local Government Bonds in 2024 to supplement public investment capital to prioritize important projects of the city. Approval of the Resolutions on the list of land recovery, conversion of land use purposes of projects, as a basis for localities and investors to speed up site clearance, implement socio -economic development projects, and prevent natural disasters in 2024.
The Chairman of the City People's Council emphasized that the 15th Session does not have much work, but the contents are all very important; at the same time, he requested that the City People's Council delegates promote a high sense of responsibility, democracy, and intelligence to analyze and clarify the urgency, conformity with regulations and practices, research and consider carefully to make the right decisions for each content presented at the session.
