Opening of the largest hot air balloon festival in Vietnam

On April 27, Tuyen Quang province held the opening ceremony of the 3rd Tuyen Quang International Hot Air Balloon Festival. The festival is a highlight in response to the Opening Program of Tuyen Quang Province Tourism Year 2024.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong affirmed that Tuyen Quang is determined to build tourism into an important economic sector of the province. That requires the province to focus on building and developing increasingly diverse, attractive and unique tourism products and services; turning the province's potential and advantages into resources for developing green, clean, unique and branded tourism.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province said that participating in the activities of this year's Festival, people and tourists will have extremely impressive experiences and interesting, unforgettable feelings when they can admire from above the beautiful, majestic space of Tuyen Quang city, interact with international pilots, especially, immerse themselves in the vibrant, exciting space of hot air balloon light shows and enjoy exciting, attractive music and art parties performed by bands and many famous artists.

In addition, tourists can also explore and learn about the rich and diverse cultural identity, the image of the land and people of Tuyen Quang through the activities of tours, unique and attractive tourist destinations, such as: Thanh Tuyen walking street, booths displaying and introducing regional cuisine, tourism products, Tuyen Quang craft villages; visiting Tan Trao special national relic site, bathing in My Lam mineral spring, visiting Na Hang-Lam Binh special national scenic spot, enjoying unique dishes, the identity of ethnic minorities; participating in cultural, artistic and sports activities... in districts and cities.

The festival will be held from April 27 to May 1, 2024 at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square (Tuyen Quang province). This year's festival will feature 22 international standard hot air balloons piloted by experienced pilots from many countries, including the UK, Australia, Spain, the Netherlands, Japan, China, Thailand and Vietnam.

The organizers have set flight times: Morning from 6:00 to 9:00; afternoon from 16:30 to 18:30 to ensure flight safety for pilots and visitors.
