Opening ceremony of folk culture clubs festival in Quang Binh province

(QBĐT) - On the evening of May 26, at Nhat Le Park (Dong Hoi City), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the festival of folk culture clubs in Quang Binh province. The event is part of a series of activities of Quang Binh Tourism Week 2025. Representatives of relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities attended.

Over the past years, all levels, sectors and people in the province have made efforts to preserve and promote the value of intangible cultural heritage, including folk performances. The system of folk culture clubs has been increasingly expanded and operated effectively.

Artisans have been practicing, preserving and passing on the flame of passion and creativity to the younger generation, contributing to protecting traditional cultural roots in modern life.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented flowers and souvenir flags to representatives of the clubs participating in the festival.

The festival is an opportunity to honor and promote folk songs and precious heritage values to the public inside and outside the province. This is not only a useful cultural playground for artisans and art nuclei, but also an opportunity for clubs to exchange, learn and share experiences in practicing and creating art.

The drum performance of the Folk Culture Club of Nhan Trach commune (Bo Trach) opened the opening ceremony.

With the participation of 10 typical folk culture clubs from districts, towns and cities across the province, the festival will bring special performances, expressing the unique identity of each region. Each performance, each song and dance will be a cultural story, a traditional message told with the emotions and souls of the artists.

The festival is scheduled to close tomorrow evening, May 27.
