Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Journalists Association Tan Van Ngu emphasized that exactly a century ago - 100 years, on June 21, 1925, Thanh Nien Newspaper - the first revolutionary newspaper of Vietnam founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, was born in Guangzhou province (China). From the enthusiastic articles, the revolutionary fire was kindled, spread, awakening patriotism and the will to fight for independence and freedom for the nation; contributing to the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam . This is a brilliant milestone marking a period of formation and development of the country's press, closely associated with the great revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, to which An Giang press contributed.
During the arduous years of resistance, An Giang press always accompanied the press of the whole country. An Giang journalists were always present, ready to go to the fiercest places to reflect the real life and fighting of our army and people, contributing many excellent articles, many good news, "hot" news, real and sharp photos to the press to expose the crimes of the enemy right on the southern battlefield, contributing to encouraging patriotism, arousing the indomitable will of the people.
