According to statistics, every year, in the world, up to 300 million tons of plastic waste are discharged into the environment. In Vietnam alone, an average of 1.8 million tons of plastic waste is discharged each year, most of which are nylon bags. On average, each Vietnamese household uses about one kilogram of nylon bags per month. More than 80% of them are discarded after being used once... With that situation, Vietnam is facing many problems related to environmental degradation and pollution, climate change, rising sea levels, especially pollution caused by plastic waste.
