The walking street is one of the important projects that not only has cultural and social significance but also has an important significance in building a civilized urban area, promoting socio-economic development. Especially promoting the connection of trade and services with tourism development of Hoa Binh city.
The operation of the walking street will be a new tourism product with special appeal to attract tourists, creating space and environment for developing activities, cultural-artistic-commercial-service and culinary forms to meet the needs and expectations of tourists and people of Hoa Binh, contributing to promoting the traditional cultural values, history and people of Hoa Binh, creating a breakthrough in organizing the implementation of the Tourism Development Program of Hoa Binh province.
The walking street has a total length of more than 2km on Da Giang embankment in Phuong Lam ward and Dong Tien ward (Hoa Binh city).
The walking street is a place for ward and commune units, youth unions, organizations, and clubs to organize cultural and artistic activities, and the central area has a stage for performances. It combines the arrangement of locations for businesses to sell goods, eat at night, and buy and sell goods, souvenirs, etc. The walking street is held every Friday and Saturday evening.
