Examination and medicine distribution to support people in flood-affected areas

On August 8, Son La Province Leprosy and Dermatology Hospital in collaboration with the Youth Union of the Department of Health organized a program to examine and provide free medicine for people in flooded areas suffering from common skin diseases in Song Ma and Chieng Khoong communes.

At the program, more than 20 staff, doctors, nurses from Son La Provincial Leprosy and Dermatology Hospital, Song Ma Regional Medical Center organized examination, diagnosis and treatment of common skin diseases such as: skin fungus, scabies, allergic contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, folliculitis and some other skin diseases, for about 400 people in flooded areas. The total value of prescriptions is over 30 million VND, including: oral, topical, immune-boosting, and dermatological treatment.

Through the program, support people to prevent and control common skin diseases, ensure health for people in flood-affected areas. Limit complications, control the spread of skin diseases in the community. At the same time, raise awareness of preventing skin diseases after natural disasters.
