Dozens of landslides on Song Pha pass connecting Lam Dong - Khanh Hoa
Dozens of landslides and trees have blocked the road on Song Pha Pass, connecting Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces, forcing authorities to close the pass from noon yesterday until further notice. During the night, many new landslides appeared, making the situation more dangerous.
This morning, the authorities of Khanh Hoa province urgently deployed measures to deal with the situation. Motor vehicles were mobilized to saw trees, scoop up rocks and soil, and clear the scene. The entire pass has recorded at least 5 new landslides, occurring in both Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong.
Due to the rainy weather, the handling work is closely coordinated with continuous patrols to promptly detect and handle arising incidents, ensuring traffic safety for people.

Urgently overcome landslides on Mimosa Pass, Da Lat
On the evening of November 19, at Km 226+500 on Mimosa Pass, passing through Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat City, Lam Dong, a serious landslide occurred, causing rocks and soil to sink nearly 30 meters deep, completely breaking a 100 meter long section of road, cutting off traffic.
Accordingly, the entire Mimosa Pass road surface was broken, completely divided into 2 parts. The landslide area was about 50m wide, about 30m deep, and the length of the slide was about 100m.
At the time of the incident, vehicles were still in circulation. A 45-seat passenger bus stopped at the edge of the abyss in time. Authorities quickly arrived to set up barriers, regulate traffic, and rescue the 45-seat bus from the dangerous position.
Immediately after the incident, Lam Dong Provincial Police immediately blocked off the scene and placed warning signs to ensure safety for people and vehicles passing through the area.
On the morning of November 20, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee announced a natural disaster emergency situation for this road section, directing functional forces to urgently deploy a plan to handle, clear the site, restore traffic and ensure safety for people and vehicles traveling on Mimosa Pass.
The Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requested relevant units to concentrate maximum forces and means, immediately deploy solutions to quickly clear the route, ensuring traffic safety.
"Construction must strictly follow technical procedures, prioritize safety, and develop a comprehensive plan to completely handle landslides and limit recurrence," Mr. Muoi emphasized.
Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi assigned the Road Maintenance Board to mobilize contractors, machinery, specialized vehicles, and closely coordinate with functional forces and local authorities to speed up construction progress and urgently open Mimosa Pass while Prenn Pass is still temporarily closed.
