The incident occurred on the afternoon of November 18, from Km226+500 to Km226+800, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat. The landslide extended more than 15m towards the negative slope, eating deep into the roadbed in a frog-jaw shape.
Due to the seriousness of the incident, the Lam Dong Department of Construction was forced to ban trucks of 15 tons or more from traveling through Mimosa Pass in Da Lat while waiting for authorities to fix the problem.
Since last night, the construction unit has used dozens of large iron bars, driven several meters deep into the ground to stabilize the roadbed, preventing rainwater from pouring into this location, causing further landslides.

The incessant rain and the large number of vehicles have significantly affected the progress. However, the Lam Dong Provincial Road Maintenance Board and the construction unit still tried to overcome the difficulties and continue construction under the pouring rain.
It is expected that by dawn tomorrow (November 20), the landslide on Mimosa Pass in Da Lat will be basically fixed.
Previously, on the morning of November 16, heavy rain also caused serious landslides on Prenn Pass in Da Lat (parallel to Mimosa Pass), forcing the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to declare an emergency. While waiting for authorities to fix the situation, this pass is closed to all vehicles.

Meanwhile, another pass leading to Da Lat, D'ran Pass, on Highway 27, also suffered serious landslides, forcing the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to declare an emergency and ban all vehicles from passing.
Currently, to get down and up to Da Lat, vehicles must travel through Mimosa Pass, Sacom Tuyen Lam Pass and Ta Nung Pass in the direction of the old Lam Ha district. The landslide incident on Mimosa Pass in Da Lat on the afternoon of November 18 forced the Lam Dong Department of Construction to ban vehicles with a total load of 15 tons or more.
Faced with heavy rains causing landslides and mudslides on many mountain passes in Lam Dong province and up and down to Da Lat, urgently fixing the problem on Mimosa Pass is an extremely urgent task to ensure smooth traffic up and down to the administrative and political center of Lam Dong province.

At 4:00 p.m. on November 19, a large old tree on Mimosa Pass in Da Lat was uprooted and fell onto the road, causing local congestion. The authorities were on hand to direct traffic and use chainsaws to quickly cut down and clear the scene. During this time, the Traffic Police directed and guided vehicles to move in one direction through the fallen tree.
By the evening of the same day, the work to fix the broken tree on Mimosa Pass in Da Lat was still being urgently carried out by the authorities...
