Affirming the growth after 20 years of re-establishing the province

Attending the ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of Dak Nong province (January 1, 2004 - January 1, 2024) were Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; leaders of central ministries, branches, provinces, cities and many people from all walks of life.

Mr. Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong province, talked about the achievements of Dak Nong province after 20 years of re-establishment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Thanh Danh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong province, said that, stemming from the requirements of socio -economic development, strengthening the national defense and security potential of the Southern Central Highlands, and meeting the aspirations of the people, on January 1, 2004, Dak Nong province was separated from Dak Lak province, officially announced its re-establishment and put into operation. This is an important milestone, opening a new chapter in the history of construction and development of Dak Nong province.

At the time of re-establishment of the province, Dak Nong was one of the poor localities, with a low starting point, backward economic structure, weak infrastructure, untapped potential strengths of the province, and rural security with potential risks of instability.

However, with the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, innovation and creativity, the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee through its terms has focused on leadership, direction, making correct decisions, mobilizing all investment resources, maximizing potential and advantages, arousing the aspirations of the people of all ethnic groups, creating momentum for Dak Nong to develop quickly and sustainably.

After 20 years of re-establishment, Dak Nong has escaped the status of a poor, underdeveloped province, achieving decisive results on the journey of construction and development, with outstanding marks. Specifically, the economic growth rate is always high, the scale of total product is 12 times larger, total investment capital for social development is 20 times larger; average income per capita is 13 times larger than in 2004. Dak Nong's potential and position are affirmed, the lives of people of all ethnic groups are constantly improved...

Along with economic development, the province always pays attention to comprehensive development of cultural and social fields; improving the material and spiritual life of people of all ethnic groups. In the context of limited resources, thanks to maximum mobilization of people's strength and consensus, up to now, over 50% of Dak Nong communes have met new rural standards, the average annual poverty rate has decreased by over 2%. This is a great effort of the entire political system and people of the province, contributing significantly to the poverty reduction of the whole country...

The Secretary of Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee emphasized that the achievements after 20 years of re-establishment are a solid premise and important driving force for Dak Nong to continue to develop more sustainably in the next period.

In recognition of the great contributions of the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Nong province, the Party and State have decided to award the First Class Independence Medal to the Party Committee, government and people of Dak Nong province for their outstanding achievements, long tradition and contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue awarded the First Class Independence Medal to Dak Nong province.

Destination attracts many domestic and foreign investors

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue acknowledged and highly appreciated the great achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Nong province have achieved in 20 years of construction and development.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue said that Dak Nong is an ancient land, located on the M'Nong plateau, at the end of the Truong Son mountain range, holding a very important position in terms of socio-economics, national defense and security of the Central Highlands and the whole country. This is a land rich in cultural identity with two internationally recognized heritages: the gong cultural space and the global geopark. Dak Nong is also endowed by nature with a favorable climate and soil for agricultural and tourism development; it has many potentials and advantages, especially bauxite minerals, to develop into the bauxite - alumina - aluminum and post-aluminum industrial center of the whole country.

With efforts to improve the business investment environment, infrastructure development investment strategy, and choosing the right growth pillars, Dak Nong has been and is an attractive destination for many domestic and foreign investors. The appearance of urban and rural areas has strongly improved, becoming more spacious, cleaner, full of new vitality, new spirit, with the desire to rise up, promising to become a new growth engine of the Central Highlands and the whole country...

To successfully implement the set goals, tasks, programs and plans, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue requested the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement the resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly and the Government. At the same time, mobilize all resources to the maximum, seek support from the Central Government, and arouse the aspirations of the people of all ethnic groups to successfully implement the Resolution of the 12th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

At the same time, urgently deploy the planning of Dak Nong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, with specific programs, plans, projects, and tasks, ensuring consistency with the development planning of the Central Highlands region and the whole country. From there, create a solid foundation to strive for Dak Nong to become a fairly developed province of the Central Highlands by 2030; the national bauxite - alumina - aluminum industrial center...

On the other hand, exploit and maximize potentials and strengths to innovate the growth model, improve productivity, quality and competitiveness according to the development orientation: "One center - three growth driving forces - four economic corridors - four development sub-regions".

Closely combine economic development with socio-cultural development, ensure social progress and equity, promote unique cultural values and revolutionary history of Dak Nong land and people, create harmonious and sustainable development.

With its important position in national defense, security, and the "fence" of the Fatherland, Dak Nong province needs to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Resolution of the 8th Central Conference on the Strategy for National Defense in the new situation in conjunction with Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW on continuing to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity and Directive No. 46-CT/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring security and order in the new situation. Maintain national defense, security, and national border sovereignty; build a truly solid people's position right from the grassroots.

Furthermore, we must promote the work of building a clean and strong Party and political system; focus on preventing and combating corruption, negativity and waste; continue to innovate working methods and styles, promote administrative procedure reform, and improve the investment and business environment.
