Khanh Hoa is "impatient" with Component Project 2 - National Highway 1 to Ca Na Port

The progress of implementing Component Project 2 - the section from National Highway 1 to Ca Na General Seaport under the Project of the Road connecting the North - South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport is still slow due to land clearance problems.

Mr. Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, has just inspected the actual progress of the implementation of Component Project 2 - the section from National Highway 1 to Ca Na General Seaport under the Project of the Road connecting the North - South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport.

A representative of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the road section from National Highway 1 to Ca Na General Seaport started construction on May 15, 2025; to date, excavation, roadbed construction, and horizontal drainage system construction have been carried out... with an estimated completion of 25% of the contract value.

The project's progress is still slow, not meeting the set goals and plans due to difficulties and obstacles in site clearance; the design documents are not suitable for the actual situation when constructing the project in the Eo Ngua cemetery area (Thuong Diem village, Ca Na commune); finding a place to gather the excess soil and rock after construction...

After checking the actual situation and listening to the opinions of relevant agencies and units, Mr. Le Huyen assessed that the progress of implementing Component Project 2 - the section from National Highway 1 to Ca Na General Seaport is behind schedule, especially in site clearance work...

Therefore, the Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of Ca Na and Thuan Nam communes to urgently clear the site; in which the locality needs to coordinate with the investor to each household affected by the Project to have a reasonable compensation plan or consider enforcing the handover of the site according to the provisions of law, not to continue to delay, prolong, affecting the progress of the Project and the disbursement of public investment capital of the province...

The project of the road connecting the North - South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport has a total length of about 23 km, divided into 2 component projects: Component project 1 - the section connecting the North - South Expressway with National Highway 1, the route length is about 10.14 km (inaugurated on September 20, 2025).

Component project 2 - section from National Highway 1 to Ca Na General Seaport, route length is about 12.86 km (passing through Thuan Nam commune and Ca Na commune), with investment scale for construction of 16 m wide roadbed, 12 m road surface; works on the route are invested in accordance with the scale of roadbed and road surface; total investment is more than 260.7 billion VND...
