For many years, Bo Bo Thu (Ba Cum Bac commune) has been an active member of the commune and district's art troupe. With a passion for singing and a sense of contributing to preserving the traditional culture of his people, he has made constant efforts to practice and perform many Raglai folk songs, using lithophone and ma la instruments. "At first, I only joined the art troupe to perform with everyone, meet and exchange for fun. But day by day, I see more and more that the traditional cultural values of my people are really good and meaningful, so I want to introduce them more widely to everyone," he said.

For Meritorious Artisan Mau Quoc Tien, after decades of collecting and compiling Raglai folk culture and art, he has witnessed almost all the ups and downs of traditional cultural capital in people's lives. There were years when Raglai culture and performing arts were on the path of oblivion, the young generation was indifferent to the spiritual values passed down by their ancestors. Therefore, witnessing the scene of young Raglai people today going to school using musical instruments such as lithophones, gourds, ma la, chapi, singing alau folk songs, singing lullabies, performing traditional dances, wearing ethnic costumes... really left many emotions for someone who is passionate about Raglai culture like him. “The younger generation is now fully educated, so their level of awareness of national culture has also been raised. Along with that, people's material life is increasingly developing, so each person has more conditions to care about and return to traditional cultural and artistic capital. Authorities at all levels have also implemented many policies on preserving and promoting traditional cultural capital. All of this has brought about positive results as more and more people join hands to preserve the traditional culture and art of the Raglai people,” he shared.
One of the policies on preserving and promoting traditional culture implemented quite effectively in Khanh Son district is Project 6 "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities (EMs) associated with tourism development", under the National Target Program on socio -economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030. Implementing the contents of Project 6, from 2021 to present, Khanh Son district has received an investment capital of more than 3.8 billion VND from the central budget and local budget, thereby implementing 19 component tasks of the project assigned by competent authorities. In general, the basic targets and criteria have been achieved or nearly achieved compared to the set plan such as: 75% of communes and towns have cultural and sports centers; 96.8% of villages and residential groups have cultural houses and village sports areas; Supported the activities of 12 traditional art troupes (75% of the plan); restored 1 typical traditional festival in the district (50% of the plan); organized 2 training courses to improve professional skills, teach conservation and promote intangible cultural forms (100% of the plan); supported the construction of community bookcases for 8 communes in ethnic minority areas (100% of the plan); supported investment in construction and equipment for cultural and sports facilities in ethnic minority villages (100% of the plan). There are still some unfulfilled targets, including: Support for the construction of typical tourist destinations in ethnic minority areas; preservation of traditional cultural villages in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

According to Mr. Cao Minh Vy - Vice Chairman of Khanh Son District People's Committee, the implementation of Project 6 has contributed to the effective and timely implementation of the Central and Provincial directives on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; contributing to restoring traditional cultural values; training and fostering cultural cadres; supporting cultural facilities and equipment for ethnic minority and mountainous areas to improve the level of cultural enjoyment for ethnic minorities. Artistic teams are supported in terms of guidance, staging and organization of activities. Thereby, team members actively participate in cultural and artistic events and activities. Many cultural institutions have been invested, renovated and upgraded to ensure standards, spaciousness and cleanliness. Project 6 has been implemented, contributing significantly to preserving and promoting the fine cultural identity of ethnic minorities along with eliminating backward customs and practices; consolidating and strengthening the great solidarity of ethnic groups.
However, the implementation of Project 6 in Khanh Son district still faces difficulties, especially in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development; the mobilization of people's resources to participate in this work is still limited. Therefore, in the coming time, authorities at all levels in the district need to continue to pay attention to and promote the effectiveness of propaganda work; promote the role of ownership and active participation of the community and people in the work of preserving, promoting and maintaining traditional cultural values...
