A large cultural and sports center for children in the capital and the whole country.
The Hanoi Children's Palace construction project is one of the key projects of Hanoi City in the period of 2020 - 2025 with the goal of building a large cultural, sports and political center for the youth of the capital and the country. The project is built in the CV1 Park and Lake Area, Cau Giay New Urban Area, Nam Tu Liem District with items such as: 800-seat Theater, 3D - 4D Cinema (200 seats), 500-seat Gymnasium, 10-lane Swimming Pool, Classroom and Library, Astronomy Tower and Administrative - Office Block, building a synchronous technical infrastructure system according to the approved planning.
In which, Vinaconex Contractor participated in the construction of Building B and the Astronomical Tower. Up to now, the project has completed 100% of items and work, ensuring time, quality, technique, aesthetics, environmental protection, security and safety during the project implementation.
The project was approved by the City People's Committee for implementation from 2020-2024 (60 months); started on November 19, 2021 and completed construction and equipment installation on June 30, 2024 (54 months from 2020), shortening the implementation time by 10%. The project has a total investment according to the City People's Committee's Decision of VND 1,376.4 billion.
The project was completed and put into use with the goal of creating a cultural and sports center, meeting the needs of living, studying, playing, competing in sports and physical training for children in the capital. Creating a favorable environment to discover, nurture and develop the future talents of the city with a modern, dynamic and creative space, has an important meaning in contributing to the development and construction of a modern civilized urban area.
Create a favorable environment for nurturing and developing future talents
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen said that over the years, the City Party Committee, People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have always paid attention to policies and guidelines on child care and education to ensure and promote the implementation of children's rights. In particular, the City has always paid attention to allocating land and resources to build cultural and sports facilities in the city to meet the physical and mental development needs of the people, teenagers and children in the capital.
Implementing the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, the City Party Committee issued Work Program No. 06 on "Developing culture, improving the quality of human resources, building elegant and civilized Hanoians in the period of 2021-2025". In which, taking care of the young generation associated with education and training is considered a breakthrough in creating high-quality human resources, comprehensively developing knowledge - physical strength - personality of elegant and civilized Hanoians.
Up to now, the whole city has nearly 400 cultural and sports institutions, 30 districts and towns have Cultural Information and Sports Centers with nearly 90 works and nearly 90% of facilities in residential areas have community activity points. The system of cultural and sports institutions at all levels is being focused on investment and development in both quality and scale, associated with rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, contributing to improving the local cultural appearance as well as the quality of life, the need to enjoy material and spiritual values of the people of the capital.
On behalf of the city's leaders, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee acknowledged and commended the City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, departments, branches, Hanoi Youth Union, Nam Tu Liem District, and construction contractors for their determination and efforts to complete the project on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day. This is a meaningful gift that the City gives to the children of the Capital.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee believes that with a new look and modern, spacious architecture, close to nature, using many smart, high-quality devices, the Hanoi Children's Palace will promote its role as a cultural and sports center, meeting the needs of living, studying, playing, competing in sports and physical training for children. Thereby creating a favorable environment to nurture and develop future talents for the city.
At the same time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested that the Management Board of the Hanoi Children's Palace continue to innovate, make breakthroughs in quality, meet social needs, contribute to comprehensive education for the young generations of the Capital, and be worthy of being "a place to help children's dreams fly far". Assign the Hanoi Youth Union to direct, manage, and properly use this meaningful project.
At the ceremony, the leaders of Hanoi City presented the Children's Palace and the Capital's children with a painting of Uncle Ho with children. Five individuals with outstanding achievements in directing and implementing the project to build the Hanoi Children's Palace and deploying the activities of the Children's Palace were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the City People's Committee.
