The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, central ministries, branches, leaders of several localities, and the Board of Directors of Skoda Auto (Czech Republic).
Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory belongs to Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex in Viet Hung Industrial Park, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province. This is the 4th automobile factory of TC Group in Vietnam.

Mr. Le Do, Deputy General Director of Thanh Cong Group, General Director of Thanh Cong Viet Hung Industrial Complex Joint Stock Company said: “Completed within 25 months, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory has a total area of 36.5 hectares. The Welding, Painting and Finishing Assembly lines are invested in modern, highly automated, in accordance with strict international standards of Skoda Auto globally. The intelligent robot system is integrated in every stage at each workshop, helping to optimize accuracy, improve efficiency and ensure product quality at the highest level, providing the market with high-quality, energy-saving and environmentally friendly vehicles.”
Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, with a capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year, will significantly enhance TC Group's production capacity of high-quality vehicles. The first car manufactured at the factory, assembled in the form of 100% imported components (CKD), is the Skoda Kushaq. The factory's rapid entry into production and the production of the first European car is a testament to TC Group's contribution to the overall development of the Government's Strategy for the Development of the Vietnamese Automobile Industry to 2025, with a vision to 2035.

Mr. Le Do emphasized that this is the next major result in the cooperation between TC Group and Skoda Auto - a 130-year-old European car brand from the Czech Republic, with the goal of bringing to Vietnamese consumers European quality cars at reasonable prices. TC Group expects the first Skoda car factory in Southeast Asia to be the center for supplying Skoda cars to the entire regional market.
On March 26, Thanh Cong Automobile Factory officially launched its first car, the Skoda Kushaq, a model certified by Skoda to meet global quality standards, ready to enter commercial production and supply to the market in the second quarter of 2025.
Sharing joy with Thanh Cong Group at the factory inauguration ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee affirmed: "Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory is a key project, a driving force for the development of Quang Ninh in the coming years. In the future, the factory will contribute to increasing budget revenue, creating jobs and training high-quality human resources for the locality".

Mr. Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Skoda Auto shared: “We are very pleased to be here today to witness the inauguration of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory invested by TC Group. The factory's operation and the production of the first car, the Skoda Kushaq, marks an important milestone in the cooperation between TC Group and Skoda in expanding the European car market in Vietnam and spreading the Skoda brand in the ASEAN region. We expect this cooperation to bring mutual success to both Skoda and TC Group. I look forward to seeing the quality standard Škoda cars coming out of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory distributed to customers”.
In addition to completing the investment in the Skoda automobile manufacturing and assembly plant at Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex on a total area of 301 hectares, Thanh Cong Group has also been investing heavily in infrastructure and supporting items such as Logistic warehouse; test track; assembly station; fuel station, welding and stamping factory, auto supporting equipment manufacturing factories... to create a strong and reliable infrastructure to attract investors to localize auto components, participate in the supply chain of high-quality auto components for the Vietnamese and international markets. TC Group's orientation ensures development according to the general orientation of the Government and realizes the vision of a large-scale, modern auto industrial complex of Quang Ninh and Vietnam.

The inauguration of Thanh Cong Viet Hung factory is one of the steps demonstrating TC Group's commitment to expanding the variety of European cars manufactured and assembled in Vietnam, of which Skoda Kushaq is the first car in the list. High-quality products manufactured from the factory will contribute to providing the market with safe, powerful cars at reasonable prices, serving the needs of domestic and regional customers.
This project also contributes and demonstrates the responsibility of the leading enterprise in the automobile industry in Vietnam for the development of the automobile industry of the whole country. Demonstrates the responsibility of the enterprise for the socio-economic development of the localities. In addition, this project also represents international cooperation, not only between the two enterprises of the two countries but also contributes to promoting the cooperative relationship between Vietnam - Representative of Southeast Asian countries and the Czech Republic - Representative of the European Union with a foundation of mechanical and high-tech industry.

Not stopping at cooperating and developing a few product lines of a brand, with the continued investment in Phase 2 of the Project and other component projects such as stamping factory, welding factory, engine factory and auxiliary factories in the coming years, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Auxiliary Industrial Complex will become a complete automobile manufacturing complex with high production capacity, creating many jobs, contributing greatly to the development of Quang Ninh province in particular and Vietnam's economy in general.

At Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory is the Group's 4th automobile factory. This investment activity demonstrates Thanh Cong Group's anticipation of the development of Vietnam's automobile industry in the future, preparing infrastructure and capacity to participate in the global production and supply chain.
