In the coming time, the Prime Minister requested Vietnam Airlines to monitor and grasp the situation and development trends of the world to master and take advantage of development opportunities; renew thinking, always innovate; mobilize the combined strength not only in the Vietnam Airlines ecosystem but also the strength of the entire people, society and other businesses; have a long-term vision, think deeply, and do big things.
"Vietnam Airlines must fly high, reach far, and spread across the five continents and four oceans to expand soft borders, connect Vietnam with the world, connect economy, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchange. Emphasizing the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh - "Unity, unity, great unity; success, success, great success", the Prime Minister believes that Vietnam Airlines will continue to maintain internal unity, unity in the ecosystem, industry unity, domestic unity and international unity. From an airline with a small fleet and limited facilities, Vietnam Airlines has risen to become a 4-star airline according to international standards.
The company's revenue has been constantly increasing, with the total amount paid to the State budget from the parent company and its subsidiaries in the period 1995 - 2024 reaching about 68 trillion VND, three times the capital contribution of the State shareholders. In 2024 alone, consolidated revenue reached nearly 113 trillion VND, with consolidated profit after tax reaching a record 7,958 billion VND.
