Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that, built on the foundation of inheriting the glorious military traditions of the 919th Air Force Regiment, Vietnam Airlines embodies the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers. The growth of Vietnam Airlines is also a measure of the country's strength; wherever Vietnam Airlines and other Vietnamese airlines fly, Vietnam's soft borders extend.

According to the Prime Minister, throughout its three decades of formation and development, Vietnam Airlines has consistently excelled in its role as the national airline – a leading airline in the field.
Looking ahead, the Prime Minister requested that Vietnam Airlines closely monitor and understand the global development situation and trends to seize opportunities for growth; innovate its thinking and constantly strive for creativity; mobilize the combined strength not only within the Vietnam Airlines ecosystem but also the strength of the entire population, society, and other businesses; and possess a long-term vision, think deeply, and act on a grand scale.
"Vietnam Airlines must soar high, reach far, and spread across five continents and four oceans to expand its soft borders, connecting Vietnam with the world, linking economy, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. Vietnam Airlines must develop in a modern, green, fast, sustainable, and safe manner; building a distinctive cultural identity for Vietnam Airlines based on the core national cultural identity of Vietnam, including traditions of self-reliance, independence, overcoming difficulties, sacrifice, responsibility, mutual support, and compassion... ", the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister requested Vietnam Airlines to accelerate its comprehensive restructuring, effectively utilize supported resources in accordance with legal regulations; develop modern infrastructure and upgrade services; build a high-quality workforce that meets increasingly demanding service requirements, possessing the necessary skills, enthusiasm, and passion; apply scientific and modern management mechanisms, comprehensively transform digitally, improve service quality and customer experience; and reduce costs… so that Vietnam Airlines can keep pace with, catch up with, and eventually surpass the global aviation industry.
Emphasizing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings – "Unity, unity, great unity; success, success, great success" – the Prime Minister expressed confidence that Vietnam Airlines will continue to maintain internal unity, unity within its ecosystem, unity within the industry, unity domestically, and international unity. Vietnam Airlines will continue to affirm its position as the leading airline of Vietnam, not only in the skies of the Fatherland, but also on routes connecting Vietnam with international friends; contributing to the country's rapid and sustainable development.

In particular, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam Airlines made efforts to overcome the unprecedented crisis of the global aviation industry, gradually recovering and steadily moving forward.
From an airline with a small fleet and limited facilities, Vietnam Airlines has risen to become a 4-star airline according to international standards.
The company's revenue has steadily increased, with the total amount contributed to the State budget by the parent company and its subsidiaries between 1995 and 2024 reaching approximately 68 trillion VND, three times the capital contribution of the State shareholder. In 2024 alone, consolidated revenue reached nearly 113 trillion VND, and consolidated after-tax profit reached a record high of 7,958 billion VND.
According to Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa, aiming to become a 5-star international airline by 2030, Vietnam Airlines will continue to modernize its fleet, expand its route network, develop personalized services, and apply new technologies.
