On April 19, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with units to inaugurate the Lo Lo ethnic community cultural house and start construction of the Happy House in Bao Lac district, Cao Bang province.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Kim Quy said that the Lo Lo ethnic community cultural house in Coc Xa hamlet, Hong Tri commune is the third project in a series of 16 community cultural houses donated to ethnic minorities with very few people across the country, implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with relevant units in recent times with the support of Sacombank .
The project is newly built in the model of a 6-room stilt house, house span 2.15m, middle room 2.37m, corridor around the house 1.4m, floor height 2.1m, total building height 5.26m, total floor area 156m².
After being inaugurated and put into use, the Lo Lo ethnic community cultural house will become a place for Lo Lo people to come to live, improve their cultural and spiritual life and strengthen solidarity. This is also a place to collect, store, research, promote and advertise Lo Lo ethnic cultural heritages in association with the goal of local socio -economic development.
On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented a computer classroom to Kim Cuc Primary School (Kim Cuc Commune) worth 100 million VND; presented 88 gifts, each worth 250,000 VND, to disadvantaged households living in Coc Xa Hamlet. In addition, the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee also provided funding to purchase necessary supplies and equipment for the cultural house with a total value of 5 million VND.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union also donated 80 million VND to build a Happy House for Ha Van Hoan's family and pledged to sponsor him until he turns 18 with a monthly support of 500,000 VND. Hoan is an ethnic minority student with extremely difficult circumstances and is an orphan. He is currently living with his older sister in a seriously degraded wooden house, which is extremely dangerous during floods in Na Lung hamlet (Co Ba commune). It is expected that the "Happy House" of the two sisters Ha Van Hoan will have a total area of 100m2 with 3 bedrooms, 1 living room and 1 kitchen.
