Survey and remove difficulties in operating and exploiting the Sand Resource Exploitation Monitoring System on the River

STO - On the evening of May 12, a working delegation of the Department of Science and Technology of Soc Trang province coordinated with relevant departments and branches to survey and overcome difficulties and obstacles in the process of operating and exploiting the Sand Resource Exploitation Monitoring System on the Hau River in Soc Trang province.

The working delegation conducted a field survey of the Sand Resource Exploitation Monitoring System on the Hau River at the sand mine locations: MS03, MS12 and some sand mine locations currently being exploited on the river.

Through the survey, the members of the delegation exchanged, discussed, and determined a favorable location to change the installation location of the monitoring system according to the conclusion of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province with contents related to sand exploitation for the construction of key national traffic works.

According to the report, the province has now issued a confirmation and handed over 6 river sand mines for the contractor to exploit to serve the Component Project 4 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project Phase 1. Of which, 4/6 mines meet the exploitation conditions, it is expected that by the end of August 2025, the total volume of river sand exploited to serve the expressway will reach about 3 million cubic meters.
