Truong Son spirit on key projects

Colonel, Dr. Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Commander of Corps 12, General Director of Truong Son Construction Corporation said: Not only at the construction site of the North-South Expressway, Dien Chau-Bai Vot section, but also at all key projects constructed by Corps 12, the units organized a surprise competition to celebrate the 133rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 / May 19, 2023); the 64th anniversary of the opening of the Ho Chi Minh Trail - the traditional day of Truong Son Troops (May 19, 1959 / May 19, 2023).

With the emulation campaign named “45 days and nights of determined labor to win”, the Central Branch of the 12th Army Corps has committed to raising awareness, responsibility, and determination to promote emulation to excellently complete assigned tasks on key projects: the North-South Expressway in the East (Bung-Van Ninh section through Quang Binh) and the Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion project.

Construction Company 470, the successor of the twice-heroic Division 470 (Hero of the People's Armed Forces and Hero of Labor) currently located in the Central Highlands, also organized a peak competition in Package 5, the Project to build the Krong Pach Thuong Dam Reservoir (Dak Lak). This is a key project of Dak Lak province, with the task of providing irrigation water for 14,900 hectares of agricultural land, providing domestic water for nearly 73,000 people, serving livestock, reducing floods in downstream areas... In just a short time of competition, Construction Company 470 has completed many important items ahead of schedule.

Previously, Truong Son 97 Branch also coordinated with units of the Air Defense - Air Force to organize a launching ceremony for a competition to attack the Chu Lai Airport Upgrade and Renovation Project, with the theme "All for progress, quality, safety, efficiency".

At many key national projects such as Long Thanh Airport; North-South Expressway section Mai Son-National Highway 45 and Can Tho-Hau Giang section, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion... units of Army Corps 12 have also taken advantage of favorable weather, focused on construction, determined to complete the projects on schedule and ensure technical standards.

“Emulation is one of the important solutions and motivations for the 12th Corps to complete its mission. This is also one of the lessons learned from the Truong Son Army in the past,” affirmed Colonel Vu Phuc Hau, Secretary of the Party Committee of the 12th Corps.

Recalling the early spring of Quy Mao 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a Government delegation to visit the construction site and the Construction Operation Center of the North-South Expressway project, Can Tho-Hau Giang section of Army Corps 12. Here, the Prime Minister worked online with 7 connection points at the headquarters of Army Corps 12 and connection points at key construction sites where the unit is constructing.

After listening to the reports from the connecting points on the combat and labor situation of the unit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the working spirit of the Corps, worthy of the tradition of the heroic Truong Son Troops, the tradition of the heroic Vietnam Army.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of the 12th Army Corps and hoped that the units of the Corps would uphold the spirit of "completing every task and overcoming every difficulty", continuing to construct projects to ensure quality, exceed progress, ensure technical and aesthetic standards, protect the environment and landscape; avoid unreasonable price increases; strengthen the relationship between the army and the people; ensure the material and spiritual life of soldiers and workers...

Following the direction of the Prime Minister, units of the 12th Army Corps have mobilized modern machinery and equipment, organized construction reasonably, ensured the progress of key national projects, ensured absolute safety, and were praised by investors. The units also did a good job of mass mobilization, helping local people where they were stationed, contributing to shining the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers on the labor and production front.
