A treasure trove of extremely valuable items was discovered by two people walking along the edge of a forest in the Czech Republic. It is estimated to be worth up to 341,000 USD.
The treasure consisted of 598 gold coins contained in a jar, 16 tobacco pouches, 10 bracelets, a fine metal mesh bag, a comb, and a key chain. All were made of yellow metal, possibly a gold alloy, and were placed in a metal box.
According to museum experts, the coins appear to have been buried for more than 100 years, dating from 1808 to 1915.
The coins are believed to have originated in Belgium, France, the Ottoman Empire and the former Austria-Hungary. Some Austro-Hungarian coins have small markings on them indicating that they were minted for use in areas of the former Yugoslavia (which existed from 1918 to 1992).

Some experts speculate that the precious treasure may have been buried after 1921. They have not yet been able to determine the owner of the treasure or the reason why it was buried.
To decode the mystery of the precious treasure, experts plan to meticulously analyze each artifact to determine its age, origin, and the metal composition used to make it.
Miroslav Novák, head of the museum's archaeology department, said the find was unique. It was likely that the valuables were buried during times of unrest, such as war. People buried the treasures in the hope of being able to come back for them later.
The precious artifacts are currently kept at the East Bohemian Museum. Experts hope to soon decipher the mysteries of this treasure.
