(Dan Tri) - The moment two Delta Airlines planes almost collided on the runway was captured on camera, causing viewers to gasp.
On January 1, an image of a plane preparing to take off and another taxiing on the runway, almost causing the two to collide, spread like wildfire across many social media platforms.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on the runway at Los Angeles International Airport (USA) between a Delta Airlines plane and a private jet with flight number 563 carrying all members of the men's basketball team from Gonzaga University.
The incident prompted an investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). A statement from the FAA said the private plane carrying the Spokane, Washington, men's basketball team taxied on the runway despite air traffic controllers telling the crew not to move because another plane was taking off at the same time.

As the Delta Airlines flight took off from the runway, an air traffic controller shouted over the radio, "Key Lime, stop, stop, stop."
Fortunately, the incident did not occur. The Delta Airlines flight continued to take passengers to Atlanta as scheduled. Data from FlightAware shows that the jet carrying the soccer team landed at Los Angeles International Airport nine minutes early, while the Delta Airlines flight departed 16 minutes late.
Previously, a similar incident occurred at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (USA) in July 2024.
As American Airlines Flight 5511 was about to land, Delta Airlines Flight 5421 was taking off from the same runway. The two planes were carrying a total of 159 people.
Video footage captured by a police car's camera from the ground shows the American Airlines pilot swerving to avoid the plane flying below. Fortunately, disaster did not occur.
