(BLC) - Implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo "On promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", Lai Chau city has concretized it with action programs; built and replicated good models and creative ways of doing things, making the movement "Studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" increasingly widespread. Arousing the spirit of self-awareness, self-reliance, self-improvement, and efforts to rise up of each cadre, party member, civil servant, public employee, student and people of all ethnic groups in the area. Up to now, the whole city has developed 215 models of "Studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" in all fields. Thereby, gradually developing Lai Chau city, worthy of the title "Political, economic - cultural - social center" of the province.
Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh : “A living example is worth more than a hundred propaganda speeches”, Lai Chau city has proactively identified key tasks. From there, it serves as a basis for agencies, units, residential groups and villages in the area to build effective models and methods in “Studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings”. In order to promote the internal strength of all levels, sectors, organizations and people of all ethnic groups to contribute to building a developed and beautiful Lai Chau city.
To concretize the implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", Lai Chau City Party Committee issued plans to lead and direct according to the topics of the entire term and each year in conjunction with Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Executive Committee on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely prevent, repel and strictly handle cadres and party members who have degraded in political ideology, morality, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". In particular, the viewpoint of "The Party leads, clearly defines key tasks and typical models" in "Studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" is consistent with the practical situation in the locality.
Accordingly, the City Party Committee identified two key tasks: developing trade and tourism services; building self-managed residential areas for comprehensive development. Selecting two typical models: preserving and promoting traditional culture associated with tourism development in San Thang commune, Lai Chau city; helping villages and residential groups develop comprehensively throughout the 2021 - 2025 period. At the same time, directing Party committees, agencies, units, and grassroots organizations to identify a number of key tasks and typical models to implement in conjunction with functions, tasks, campaigns, and patriotic emulation movements.
In order for the key tasks and typical models to truly achieve the expected results, Lai Chau City Party Committee has promoted the dissemination and study of the conclusions, directives, resolutions and programs of the Central and the province on "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" to the masses in many rich and diverse forms. Directing the City People's Committee, agencies, units and grassroots Party cells to develop collective and individual study plans by year and period; promoting the role and responsibility of setting an example for cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels. At the same time, strictly implementing the Regulations on standards of public service ethics and professional ethics according to Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle.
On the basis of identifying key tasks and typical models, the city focuses on investing in building socio-economic infrastructure; creating favorable conditions for businesses, cooperatives, and households to strengthen connections, expand the scale of commercial development, and diversify types of services. Arrange and reasonably integrate the city's budget to support the activities of residential areas; encourage and promote socialization in self-managed residential areas, comprehensive development...
We went to residential group No. 9 - the pioneer and leader in building "Self-managed residential groups, comprehensive development" of Tan Phong ward. The group has 219 households with more than 820 people. To effectively implement the model, the group has actively propagated and mobilized households to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Recently, the group mobilized 4 households to participate in the "Clean house, beautiful garden" model, and mobilized households in 2 residential groups on Nguyen Thi Dinh street to plant flowers to implement the "blossoming tree" project to create a green - clean - beautiful landscape.
For the Department of Education and Training, "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" has been specifically implemented with many emulation movements, such as: "Friendly school, active students", "Each teacher is a model of self-study and creativity". Directing schools to seriously integrate and incorporate content about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle into the curriculum; organizing extracurricular educational activities for students. Spreading to teachers and students the need to follow Uncle Ho's example anytime, anywhere, starting from the smallest things: planting flowers, trees, recycling plastic waste to protect the environment; learning from Uncle Ho's virtues of "thrift and simplicity".
Above all, the pioneering and exemplary role and responsibility are always put first by Party members in the area with the spirit: "Party members go first, the country follows". Not only in work, they always strive to complete assigned tasks, build strong agencies and Party cells; learning from Uncle Ho, many Party members spread kindness and love among people.
Mr. Cu A Sua - Owner of the traditional medicine facility for treating liver disease A Sua is a typical example. He confided: From my love for poor people with severe liver disease who cannot afford to buy medicine, I came up with the idea of treating them for free. In addition, I also treat people from families with preferential policies for free as a special thank you. Out of compassion for students in remote and disadvantaged areas, I established a scholarship fund for liver disease treatment A Sua, sponsoring them with 500,000 VND/month. From 2019 to now, I have treated more than 200 poor people and families with preferential policies for free; and sponsored 2 students with difficult circumstances until they turn 18 years old.
In fact, the movement of "Studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" has been actively participated in by agencies, units, Party cells, residential areas, Party members, civil servants, public employees and the people of Lai Chau city, in conjunction with patriotic emulation movements at the grassroots level. Typical examples include: the movement "Youth to establish themselves and start a business"; "Farmers compete in good production and business, helping each other to get rich and sustainably reduce poverty"; "Building cultural agencies and units", "All people unite to build a cultural life and civilized urban areas"... Through specific and practical actions of each movement, it contributes to creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of cadres, union members and members, and spreading among the people to study and follow the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh.
