Foreign investors return to net buying, VN-Index reverses to increase by nearly 54 points

On August 26, the stock market was covered in green and purple. After yesterday's sharp decline, demand returned, helping the VN-Index increase sharply. Vin and banking stocks became the main pillars leading the market's growth. At the end of the session, the VN-Index increased by 53.6 points to 1,667.63 points.

Market liquidity decreased compared to yesterday's session, with total trading volume on the three exchanges reaching more than 1,614 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND42,640 billion.

Foreign investors reversed to net buy after 13 consecutive net selling sessions on all 3 exchanges, reaching more than 514 billion VND, focusing on codes MSB (482.25 billion VND), VIX (145.61 billion VND), MWG (121.64 billion VND), TPB (74.83 billion VND), TAL (70.66 billion VND)...

On the contrary, the stocks with the most net sales in this session included HPG (115.2 billion VND), VHM (112.08 billion VND), OIL (108.49 billion VND), SSI (92.72 billion VND), VIC (81.69 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 34,639 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increasing by more than 27.33 points included: VHM, VIC, TCB, CTG, HPG, MBB, VCB, MWG, VPB,ACB .

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 0.48 points included: VPL, VCF, SVC, SJS, DBD, TDM, CVT, CLW, ASG, CLC.

Liquidity reached over 1,439.33 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over VND39,343.59 billion. The entire floor had 299 stocks increasing, 27 stocks remaining unchanged and 45 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 65.93 points (+3.7%) and stopped at 1,849.05 points. Liquidity reached more than 610.78 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 21,375.69 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 30 stocks increasing, 0 stocks remaining unchanged and 0 stocks decreasing.
