Heavy rains lasting over a month have severely damaged vegetable growing areas in Tinh Khe commune (Quang Ngai), causing vegetable supply to drop sharply and prices to increase 3-5 times. Many farming households have lost everything and have no vegetables left to sell.

As the weather clears, people are urgently preparing the land and planting short-term vegetables such as mustard greens, water spinach, jute, lettuce, etc. to quickly restore production and meet market demand during Tet.

Tinh Khe commune currently has 533 hectares of vegetable cultivation, providing nearly 12,000 tons each year. After the flood, the locality assigned the agricultural technical center to support farmers in selecting varieties, providing technical guidance and disease prevention. The new vegetable crop is expected to have favorable output thanks to high market demand.
