Prosecution of environmental pollution case in Ha Nam

According to Ha Nam Provincial Police, on April 1, 2023, the Environmental Police Department, Ha Nam Provincial Police, in coordination with the authorities of Thanh Thuy Commune, Thanh Liem District and other relevant agencies, successfully dismantled a special case, catching the Long Nguyet Traffic Construction Company Limited branch in the act of illegally dumping nearly 412 tons of industrial waste into the environment during the production of hot asphalt concrete.

During the investigation, the police identified Pham Quang Son, Deputy Director of the company, and Nguyen Huu Tuan, manager of the mixing station of Long Nguyet Traffic Construction Company Limited, as the subjects directly committing the above-mentioned illegal acts.

Based on the collected documents and evidence, the Environmental Police Department, Ha Nam Provincial Police, has initiated a case of "causing environmental pollution" and transferred all case files and evidence to the Investigation Police Agency, Ha Nam Provincial Police for further handling and investigation according to its authority.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency, Ha Nam Provincial Police have prosecuted Nguyen Huu Tuan (born in 1980), residing in Phu Xuyen town, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi , and Pham Quang Son (born in 1969), residing in Time City Urban Area, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi, for the act of illegally discharging waste into the environment.
