Review and draw experience from the Literature test for grade 8

DTO - On the afternoon of January 8, Mr. Vo Thanh Ngoan - Chairman of Thanh Binh District People's Committee said that Thanh Binh District People's Committee held a meeting to review the responsibility in making test questions for teachers who made test questions, the Test Setting Council and leaders of Thanh Binh District Departmentof Education and Training related to making test questions for the first semester of Literature subject for grade 8, school year 2023 - 2024 with the use of inappropriate materials.

Thanh Binh district leaders held a meeting to review and learn from the experience of creating Literature exam questions for grade 8 using inappropriate materials.

After reviewing the content of the exam and discussing with relevant departments and branches, considering that the language is quite sensitive, but not to the extent of requiring disciplinary action, the People's Committee of Thanh Binh district organized a review meeting and requested to draw profound lessons. In addition, the People's Committee of Thanh Binh district assigned the Principals of Secondary Schools in Thanh Binh district to monitor public opinion and disseminate information to parents and students to avoid negative interpretations of the content.

Previously, public opinion reacted to the final exam of the first semester of Literature for 8th grade students, school year 2023 - 2024 in Thanh Binh district using inappropriate materials for students. Specifically, the essay was excerpted from Truong Chinh - Phong Chau, Vietnamese Folk Laughter: "Why haven't you invited me to eat yet?". Regarding the above essay, some people said that the excerpt used sentences that were not really standard, and the educational value for students was not high.
