Checking food safety and hygiene on the occasion of Nguyen Trung Truc festival in 2025

On the afternoon of October 14, Head of the Food Safety and Hygiene Department of An Giang province Nguyen Thanh Nam led a working delegation to inspect and supervise food and beverage establishments, street food stalls, and kitchens serving the traditional festival commemorating the 157th anniversary of the death of National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868 - 2025).

The delegation disseminated regulations on ensuring food safety to 25/25 camps providing food for the festival (in the communal house area) and food service establishments outside the communal house to ensure food safety and prevent food poisoning during the festival.

Through the inspection, the delegation highly appreciated the businesses and kitchens serving the festival for strictly following food safety regulations. The delegation requested strict food sample storage. The service camps in the communal house area regularly sweep and clean the kitchen floor to ensure dryness and hygiene. All people directly in contact with food must wear full protective clothing when working.

Mobile kitchens in the festival area must comply with hygiene regulations and have clean water sources for food preparation... At the same time, strengthen the dissemination of food safety laws to establishments to prevent food poisoning from occurring during the festival.
