Fostering legal knowledge and propaganda skills on marriage and population in ethnic minority areas

On October 16, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of An Giang province coordinated with the People's Committees of Co To and Ba Chuc communes to organize a conference to train and foster legal knowledge, propaganda skills, advocacy, and legal advice related to marriage, population, and family in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2025.

Nearly 100 delegates who are project participants, local legal reporters and propagandists, non-professional officials in hamlets, neighborhoods and prestigious people in ethnic minority areas in Co To and Ba Chuc communes attended the conference.

Trainees are provided with relevant text content on project implementation; legal knowledge, issues related to the implementation of the Project "Reducing child marriage and incestuous marriage in ethnic minority and mountainous areas".

The conference was held to raise awareness and change the behavior of ethnic minorities, especially youth and parents, about the harmful effects of early marriage and incestuous marriage, contributing to protecting health, race quality and sustainable community development.

This is a concrete activity of the project to reduce child marriage and consanguineous marriage under the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas by 2025.
