Check out the 640,000 VND meal for athletes competing for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics

On the evening of March 1, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong was present at the National Sports Training Center in Hanoi to inspect the preparation process of many sports for the qualifying round of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

One of the issues that fans are concerned about is the meals of top athletes. According to Circular 86/2020/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance , athletes competing for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics are in the key athlete group, enjoying a diet of up to 640,000 VND/person/day. Breakfast costs 95,000 VND, lunch and dinner cost 240,000 VND. In addition, athletes have an additional 20,000 VND for vitamins, 45,000 VND for evening nutritional drinks.

Meals for athletes competing for tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics are guaranteed.

Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong personally inspected the quality of meals for the athletes. During dinner, the dishes provided were all of good quality such as green-legged shrimp, beef, chicken,...

" I suggest that the coaching staff focus on monitoring the training and eating regimen, so that the athletes can concentrate fully to overcome this period and strive to win a place at the Olympics. This is a difficult process, and the athletes need to practice hard. The leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Physical Education and Sports will always remind and pay attention to the training process, and require coaches of each sport to report on the athletes' situation ," said Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong.

Deputy Minister Hoang Dao Cuong directly inspected the quality of athletes' meals.

According to statistics, a total of 89 coaches and athletes are enjoying a diet of 640,000 VND/person/day. Currently, the athletes' meals have doubled in quantity and quality. Many delicious dishes such as seafood and highly nutritious foods are included in the meals. Athletes are also supplemented with functional foods. Each meal has 7 main dishes, the menu changes daily.

As of March 1, the Vietnamese sports delegation has 4 athletes who have won tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics, including: Le Thi Mong Tuyen, Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting), Nguyen Thi That (cycling) and Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming).
