Check out the cosmetic surgery clinic that performed a facelift that caused serious complications

A beauty salon in Pleiku City, Gia Lai, performed a facelift surgery that left a female customer with serious complications and requiring hospitalization.

On June 12, the Gia Lai Province Health Department Inspectorate said it was verifying and clarifying information about a beauty salon performing skin tightening surgery that caused serious complications for customers.

According to initial information, on June 2, Ms. LTH (64 years old, residing in Pleiku City) went to GN Beauty Salon in Pleiku City to consult on wrinkle removal and facelift services.

Here, Ms. H. was consulted and had a facelift surgery performed at a cost of 16 million VND.

After returning home from work, Ms. H. had a lot of bleeding from the surgical wound so she was taken to the emergency room at Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital.

Upon admission, the patient had swelling, bruising and subcutaneous hematoma on the right side of his face. The patient was treated by the doctor to stop the bleeding and was discharged after about a week of treatment.

After receiving the information, Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health coordinated with the Provincial Police to conduct a surprise inspection of the above beauty salon.

At the time of the inspection, Ms. Bui Thi H., authorized by the facility owner, said that the facility normally does not provide facelift surgery services. However, on the day the customer arrived, the manager introduced a technician named Trang, residing in Ho Chi Minh City, to perform the facelift service for the customer.

After completing the service, the technician named Trang left the facility and gave the facility a 20% discount on the service received from the customer.

According to the business license, the above beauty salon is registered to retail medicine, medical equipment, cosmetics; sauna, massage services and similar health enhancement services (except sports activities) and skin care.

Currently, the authorities are clarifying the violations of this facility, and inviting the facility owner to work to serve as a basis for handling according to regulations.
